AKRON- Summit County Clerk of Courts Tavia Galonski is warning residents of a fraudulent website that is falsely representing itself as an official website of the Summit County Clerk of Courts office. The only official website for the Summit County Clerk of Courts Office is: https://clerkweb.summitoh.net/.
“We regularly monitor the environment in order to keep you safe.” said Clerk of Courts Tavia Galonski, “We acted as soon as we discovered the impersonation.”
The website falsely advertises a Records Search that leads to a third-party site to see any results. The official Summit County Clerk of Courts Website links directly to the online case search for the office. To ensure that you are on the right page, please check the URL. The correct URL is https://clerk.summitoh.net/RecordsSearch/SelectDivision.asp. Additionally, you will be greeted with a disclaimer that has “Tavia Galonski – Summit County Clerk of Courts” at the very top. The rest of the page includes the division that you can search for records in. The Clerk’s office does not link to any third-party websites for Records. Furthermore, the Clerk’s office does not currently take online payments of any kind.
The false website is unauthorized and is not affiliated with or maintained by the Summit County Clerk of Courts office. The site is designed to resemble an official records search and may mislead residents into believing that they are accessing official Summit County Clerk of Courts records or information.
